Services going to stop if SBI customers fail to link PAN with Aadhaar

The Income Tax Department of India was previously mentioned that the last date to link PAN and Aadhaar Card was 31 March, 2021, But later that was extended to 30th September, 2021, owing to the  Covid-19 pandemic.

   The state run largest public sector bank SBI has issued a notice to its customers about to link their Permanent Account Number (PAN) with Aadhaar cards by the end of 30 September,2021 I.e end of this month. The State Bank of India (SBI) further mentioned that customers fail to do so will affect their ongoing services provided by the bank. 
India's largest public sector bank issued a statement on SBI official Twitter social media account "TheOfficialSBI". That we suggest our customers to link their PAN number with Aadhaar in Income Tax Department Portal, so account holder not to be deprived from any ongoing seamless banking services. The bank also warned that the PAN will be inoperative or inactive and would be banned from some specific banking transactions.

Penalty for not linking PAN-Aadhaar;
The Government of India introduced
an amendment in Finance Bill, 2021 that if a person found non-link of PAN with Aadhar may be fined a late fee of up to Rs 1,000 rupees. 
In the Finance Bill, 2021, Section 234H indicates that penalty will be charged for default in intimating the Aadhaar number and in Section 139AA(2) marked that if a person is required to intimate his Aadhaar  and such person fails to do so will be liable to pay a fee of Rs 1,000 rupees at the time of making such intimation.
